About Todd

Todd Tuell is the author of nearly fifty books for children. Sadly only one has been published…so far. His picture book Ninja, Ninja, Never Stop! is a 2016 Colorado Book Award Finalist as well as being name Best Book Ever by one (really, just one?) of his three children.  In addition to a new mystery chapter book series, he is currently working on rewriting his will.

He has been recognized as an engaging classroom presenter and an accomplished public speaker, along with a plethora of awards including Best Dad in the Tuell home the last 25 years (excluding 2018, the year of the hanging chad incident).

Writing funny and delightful stories has been his passion for more than two decades. He discovered his love for children’s literature when his own children were born. He’s had the joy of watching all of his children, who were practically raised at the library, fall in love with books. Creating endearing characters, developing quirky mysteries, and sharing his stories with kids are what he most enjoys about writing.

He lives in Evergreen, Colorado with his youngest daughter, his favorite stuffy Norbert, and his nemesis Karloff (an imaginary dragon who sits atop a pile of golden Chuck E Cheese tokens). Todd also spends time throughout the year with loved ones near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Todd is a really cool guy. He's probably my fifth favorite cousin. He dresses impeccably and is usually clean-shaven. I haven't read any of his books so I can't say if they are any good. But probably.

I've been Todd's neighbor for several years. He almost always sets his trash out on the right day. But he doesn't always park very straight. I didn't know he writes books.
